I am currently working on my next book. (Yipee!)
This is the story of Molly McGee who lives in the year 1922.
Molly moves into a new home and is not very happy about leaving her old neighborhood and house behind. She makes two new friends and has a little adventure with her teddy bear, Pierre. Of course, in the end, she is happy in her new home on 33 Elm Street.
In this story, I try to point out some differences between life in 1922 and today. I wanted to show how even though there were many things different, kids were still kids. That fact has not changed, children still like to play.
I think this is going to be a fun story and I am excited to be illustrating people again. I had so much fun developing the characters in my last book Trouble For Nils, I wanted another book where I could draw people, this book has several characters for me to have fun with. It will also be a lot of fun with the 1920's styles.
